Project Life

I have just started working on Project Life as my method of scrapbooking. I really like the concept of recording our daily life. I have completed a few weekly PL layouts in the past month or so. I use these  laminated templates to design and plan my layouts. They are great! You can get them here. At first I made my own design templates. I soon realized that I would like them to be durable and be able to jot things down and then later erase it.

Today, I have created two projects. I did an 8x8 layout and a card. I created this layout using all KiwiLane Templates. The templates I used in this layout were the following: Paisley Place Mini (shown here), Cascade Trails, and Florals.
The paper I used in this layout is from K & Company.

Paisley Place Mini

Here is the card that I created. It is a 5 x 7 card using Cascade Trails and Celebrate Accessory. I used the scraps from my layout to create this simple card. I made this adorable pinwheel from the Celebrate Accessory set. I just love it. Too Cute. Thanks for hopping with us have a great day!!!                        





Just some Valentines Goodies

I created these Valentines for my kids and my neices and nephews. The cupcake Valentines are my favorite. They are an ATC card size 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. I stamped them using  Stampin Up's Create a Cupcake and the coordinating paper punch. I even added scented embossing powder to make the Valentines more fun. The bottom photo has some goodie bags. Kids just love candy and cute packaging. I punched the hearts from some nice thick glittered paper. The frogs were cut out using my Silhouette Cameo and the frogs are from Lettering Delights. Valentines Day is my absolute favorite crafting Holiday. Unfortunately, I did not get to do as much Valentines Day crafting this year. I was just too busy.

KiwiLane Layout

Here is a layout I created using KiwiLane Templates. I just love these templates because they truly make scrapbooking a breeze. The templates eliminate all of the thinking and reduce decision making . The best part is the great results. I love how the layouts turn out. The framing technique that KiwiLane developed  enables you to create great layouts that focus more on the photos. This is key because I try not to overpower my layouts with too many embellishments and such. I also have been impressed with how quickly I can create pages. This is very important to me since I am always limited to scrapbooking time.

Here is an attempt at creating a Valentines Day card using my banner punch from Stampin' Up.

I really like that punch it has a perfecting banner for cards and scrapbook pages. The tiny hearts are from

Simon Says Stamp! They have some really cute dies and stamp sets.

I cased this card from one of the Papertrey Ink Design Team members (I can't remember her name) just to get my feet wet and play with the chalkboard technique. I am hoping to create some more cards using this really fun technique. I need to come up with my own design next time.

I created a 5 x 5 card for this sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

I punched out the four squares with a paper punch and

I die cut three hearts with the Spellbinders Classic Heart Die.

I embossed all of the hearts with 3 different embossing folders.

 Then, I popped them up with foam tape.

 Last, I spritzed the entire card with a homemade glimmer mist.
The sentiment that I used was from the new Simon Says Stamp
"Just a Love Note" stamp set. This set was created by Kristina
Werner. I just love her handwriting is it sooo cute!

We headed to Disney World in Florida  back in October and before we left I made my 5 kids an autograph book. The boys got the classic Mickey books and my younger daughters got the Mickey heads. My oldest daughter got the Minnie Mouse ticket shaped books. These books worked out great. This is the 3rd set of autograph books that I made. The girls are the only ones that wanted autographs. I guess my boys feel that they are getting too old for autographs. They still wanted me to make them a book. I have no clue what they will use them for. It is ok though. They were very happy with their books.

We created these little squash books at church with the Young Women. I tried to create them simply so it would be easy for them to assemble and put together. I think they turned out cute. I had never made one before complete with photos. They are so cute when photos are put on. Now I need to do some embellishing. I will post again after I add some embellishments.

These cards believe it or not were created using stickers from Dollar Tree. Yep...That's right. These stickers are layered. You may be able to tell from the photos but they are layered. These are just quick and easy cards that I can throw in my stash and pull out when I need them. I made all different occasions. I also stocked up on these stickers so I could make card sets as gifts for Christmas.

I know it isn't spring time, but I just love this paper. The colors and  images just make me feel happy. I created this file system to give me a reference for ideas and inspiration when I am creating cards. I can just flip to the section and I can find just what I want very quickly and easily. I got the Rolodex stamp set from Papertrey Ink. It is an awesome stamp set. I have a lot of work ahead of me filling in all of the Rolodex cards. I plan to work on them a little a time.

Pickin' Berries

Here is another layout! This is a fun layout. I love the color red and I had so much fun this day
pickin berries and making jam with my children. The berries were cut out with my Cricut and the word Berry was cut out with an old template. Yep, that means I traced and cut out the word.
I haven't done that in a long time. I just really liked this font so I did it.

I have always been a scrapbooker and really enjoyed it. I joined Stampin' Up in 2003 so from that time on I turned over to stamping and scrapbooking took a back seat. This is also when digital cameras came into play. I no longer needed to develop my photos to see them. I could see all of my photos on the computer. So scrapbooking has not been a priority. I quit Stampin' Up last year and ever since I still have not scrapbooked. Here is a picture of a layout I did a long time ago. I thought I would post more layouts in hopes to spark my interest into scrapbooking my many many photos.

Robyn is looking for SMORE Design Team Members

Let me start by saying that I love stamping, scrapbooking, and papercrafting. I am also a mom of 5 so life gets very busy at times. I MAKE time to play with all of my crafting goodies otherwise I would never get a chance to use all that I have. Robyn from My Pink Stamper is looking for a couple more people to participate on her design team. So she has given a challenge to create a project, card, or scrapbook page. The twist is we have to use our FAVORITE cartridge along with the following colors (Brown, Green, Orange, Turquoise, and another color of our choice :optional). So, I am excited to share one of my projects using my new favorite Cricut Cartridge-- Camping Critters. I just got back from Girls Camp with my church so I have camping on the brain. I bought Camping Critters so I could make goodies for the girls at camp. I never did get to make those goodies. I did however make a huge poster and put all of their pictures from camp. It turned out very nice. I'll post a picture of that soon. Well, when Robyn suggested using the color Turquoise, Brown, Green, and Orange I started looking through all of my cardstock and printed papers. I found the Happy Camper paper line from Imaginisce and it had ALL of those colors AND it is SUPER adorable. This project that I have here is an idea for a Secret Sister gift at camp. In the back pack it has a little bag of nuts. The other treats are a make it yourself SMORES kit. This gift is perfect for a first time camp attendee or otherwise known as a first year girl. In the Kitchen

I love the From my Kitchen cartridge simply because I love all things cooking. I made this card for my SIL for her birthday. She is the process of getting her kitchen remodled. I thought this card would be appropriate.

Favorite PEEPS!!!

This card was made using SVG cuts Easter Morning. I just love these adorable little yellow peeps. Now yellow is actually not my favorite color to eat. I prefer pink.
I thought light yellow would look much better on this card. I used the salutation "One of my favorite peeps" from Amuse Artstamps. Peeps make me happy! How about you??
